We are actively soliciting for applications from teams of motivated graduate students who would like to take on the challenge of planning a symposium at the 241st National ACS Meeting in Anaheim, California. The goal of the Graduate Student Symposium Planning Committee (GSSPC) is to offer graduate students an important role in the ACS National Meetings, by giving them opportunities to develop their leadership skills and in supporting their efforts to make significant contributions to the scientific community at an international level. Typically teams consist of between four and seven graduate students with a range of interests and talents, such that the work of planning a symposium can be fairly divided. More detailed information about the history, goals, and inner workings of the GSSPC may be found in the GSSPC Charter. The GSSPC effort is gratefully supported by the Division of Chemical Education and Office of Graduate Education.
